Kamairicha by Miyazaki
An organic Kamairicha* (JAS Japan) from the Miyazaki prefecture.
Well-made, clean and very well-balanced, it offers a nice attack on toasted sesame, before giving way to fruitier notes, the vivacity of pink berries enhanced by a hint of pepper, and a nice aromatic persistence to crown it all!

What is Kamairicha
Kamairicha or Kama-iri Cha, differs from other Japanese green teas by the way the oxidation of the leaves has been stopped. They are heated according to the Chinese method, in direct contact with a hot plate, while the sencha are steamed with hot water.
Kamairicha is produced almost exclusively on the island of Kyushu, especially in the counties of Miyazaki and Kumamoto. Gokase remains one of the most famous mountains for its Kamairicha production.
